Plasmidomics 0.2

Plasmidomics is an open source program for easy drawing of plasmids and vector maps with high-quality graphics export.

It is based on python, which is freely available for different platforms (Windows, Linux, BSD, Mac .. )

Graphics export

• Built in: Encapsulated Postscript export (*.eps)

• Conversion to *.pdf by epstopdf

• For other formats, use ImageMagick

Installation

• Download (plasmidomics-0.2.zip or plasmidomics-0.2.tar.bz2) and extract it

• Run: >python plasmid or >plasmid

• Note: Make sure you have python and tkinter installed. If not: www.python.org

Help, Bugs and Warranty

Help is included with the program. It is easy to use and straight-forward (see screenshot).

There´s no warranty, but if you send me a bug, I will try to fix it.

Web-based execution/ sponsoring

Plasmidomics should also run as a *.cgi. Unfortunately such custom scripts are not included in my provider contract. If you have webspace allowing python scripts, you could sponsor the web-based application of Plasmidomics. Please contact me.
